The price of sachet water will increase to $0.60 on Monday.

Sachet water will now cost $0.60 starting on Monday, October 31.

The price of the 500ml bottle of water will also be 2.50, while that of the medium-sized bottle will be 3.50, and that of the 1.5-liter bottle will be 5.

The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers stated this in a statement on Thursday, October 27.

According to the Association, the new prices are a result of ongoing increases in the cost of production inputs brought on by the cedi's depreciation against the major trading currencies.

As a result, the National Executive Committee of the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) suggests that the prices of bottled and sachet water be reviewed as follows.

They added in a statement that "These reviews serve as a roadmap to all Regional associations to guarantee uniformity across the country."

They clarified that due to haulage to far-off locations and other overheads, there might be modest variances between regions and towns.

The increased tariffs, according to the Association, will enable the water producers to continue producing bottled water of a high standard for Ghanaians.

"The retail trucks will now sell a bag of sachet water (500m1 x 30 sachets) for $10.00 ex-truck.

The statement said, "It is important to keep in mind that the retail price of a bag of sachet water and packs of bottled water from tiny stores will be established by their retail associations, utilizing additional criteria including rent and overheads that feed into the final retail pricing.

Depending on the business, a bag of sachet water is anticipated to cost between 12 and 15 pounds.
